Found outside its normal range, such as outside its known habitat. Not enough records to confirm as a Resident or a Migrant.
A species that is expanding its range, but is not self-sustaining, and is reliant on migrants to sustain its population. This is the stage before a species becomes a resident, or a species which is right on the edge of its known distribution.
Records that have not been substantiated and therefore the existence of such a species on Corfu is uncertain.

Not Evaluated (NE)

Data Deficient (DD)
A taxon is Data Deficient when there is inadequate information to make a direct, or indirect, assessment of its risk of extinction based on its distribution and/or population status. Data Deficient is therefore not a category of threat. Listing of taxa in this category indicates that more information is required and acknowledges the possibility that future research will show that threatened classification is appropriate.
Least Concern (LC)
A taxon is Least Concern when it has been evaluated against the criteria and does not qualify for Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable or Near Threatened. Widespread and abundant taxa are included in this category.
Near Threatened (NT)
A taxon is Near Threatened when it has been evaluated against the criteria but does not qualify for Critically Endangered, Endangered or Vulnerable now, but is close to qualifying for or is likely to qualify for a threatened category in the near future.

A taxon is presumed Extinct in the Wild when exhaustive surveys in known and/or expected habitat, at appropriate times (diurnal, seasonal, annual), throughout its historic range have failed to record an individual. Surveys should be over a time frame appropriate to the taxon’s life cycle and life form.

A small butterfly, the male upperside is blue with a black margin, whereas the female if dark brown with a blue suffusion. The underside of the wings are distinctive with are a light greyish brown. The forewing has a row of prominent black spots with a white border; the hindwing has a prominent turquoise basal suffusion, which is more greenish in the female. The hindwing black spots are noticeably smaller than those on the forewing. The butterfly could potentially be confused with Cyaniris semiargus, which has black spots are of equal size, and only a small blue basal suffusion.
