With many Corfu species you can't tell them apart by eye but the good news is that there are still over 30 species where the male and female are visually different - all you need is to to read some clues and follow guidance on the website.

The Corfu Butterfly Survey - the end of the third year (2023)

Congratulations to all, today is the final day of the third year of the Corfu Butterfly Survey. As you can see below, this year we have not only increased the number of records but more importantly, we have increased the number of butterflies recorded, with an increase of 23.3% on the number of butterflies we recorded last year.

There has been a major new development for the website. It is now possible for you to record any of the stages of the butterfly/moth lifecycle. Of course for some this will mean looking back over their old records and photos to record those eggs, larvae and pupae that they couldn't enter before
