First observed mating of the Southern Festoon.

The Southern Festoon has never been observed mating by any member of Corfu Butterfly Conservation. Today (9th March 2021) is the first record of a mating on Corfu.

On 19th June 2014, John Denne posted our only sighting of Proserpinus proserpina - the Willowherb Hawk moth. He photographed and filmed a caterpillar which was undoubtedly of this species.
